Fruit nutritional value, plant growth, and yield can be compromised by deficient copper (Cu) bioavailability, which often appears in arable lands. This condition causes low Cu content modifications the ripening-associated processes tomato fruit. research studies transcriptomic changes that occur red ripe fruit grown under suboptimal conditions to shed light on molecular mechanisms underlying this stress. Comparative RNA-sequencing functional analyses revealed deficiency during cultivation activates signals for metal ion transport, cellular redox homeostasis, pyridoxal phosphate binding, amino acid metabolism while repressing response starvation harvested Transcriptomic highlighted a number of novel stress-responsive genes unknown function indicated homeostasis regulation may involve additional components than those described model plants.
