Molecular Responses of Red Ripe Tomato Fruit to Copper Deficiency Stress

نویسندگان

چکیده

Fruit nutritional value, plant growth, and yield can be compromised by deficient copper (Cu) bioavailability, which often appears in arable lands. This condition causes low Cu content modifications the ripening-associated processes tomato fruit. research studies transcriptomic changes that occur red ripe fruit grown under suboptimal conditions to shed light on molecular mechanisms underlying this stress. Comparative RNA-sequencing functional analyses revealed deficiency during cultivation activates signals for metal ion transport, cellular redox homeostasis, pyridoxal phosphate binding, amino acid metabolism while repressing response starvation harvested Transcriptomic highlighted a number of novel stress-responsive genes unknown function indicated homeostasis regulation may involve additional components than those described model plants. It also studied high-affinity transporters well-known ripening depending availability, allowed potential candidates targeted biotechnological improvements reproductive tissues. We provide first study characterizing responses stress any crop.

Physiological responses of two tomato (Lycopersicun esculentum M.) cultivars to Azomite fertilizer under drought stress.

This study was conducted in order to investigate the effect of drought stress and Azomite fertilizer on some physiological traits of two tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum M.) cultivars (izmir and Izabella). A randomized complete design with factorial arrangement with three replications was used. Treatments consisted of three levels of irrigation including FC (control), FC (mild drought stress), a...

Diverse Responses of Tomato to N and P Deficiency

Tomato plants were grown hydroponically under different deficient regimes of nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P) in the form of nitrate and phosphate. Results showed a severe reduction in growth, soluble protein and chlorophylls contents under N deficiency, which suggested accelerating of leaf senescence. Furthermore, it was accompanied by enhanced activity of peroxidase and sugars contents that we...

New solanocapsine-type tomato glycoside from ripe fruit of Solanum lycopersicum.

A new solanocapsine-type tomato glycoside, a novel and interesting natural steroidal glycoside, was isolated from a mini tomato, Solanum lycopersicum L. The chemical structure of the new minor glycoside, esculeoside B-5 (3), was determined to be (5S,22R,23S,24R,25S)-22,26-epimino-16β,23-epoxy-3β,23,24-trihydroxycholestane 3-O-β-lycotetraoside.

Movement of Salmonella serovar Typhimurium and E. coli O157:H7 to Ripe Tomato Fruit Following Various Routes of Contamination

Salmonella serovars have been associated with the majority of foodborne illness outbreaks involving tomatoes, and E. coli O157:H7 has caused outbreaks involving other fresh produce. Contamination by both pathogens has been thought to originate from all points of the growing and distribution process. To determine if Salmonella serovar Typhimurium and E. coli O157:H7 could move to the mature toma...
